Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, written by Ukyo Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto, is a Japanese manga series with illustrations by Mikio Ikemoto. The series is a spin-off of Masahi Kishimoto’s worldwide hit Naruto that follows a Young Ninja Boy and his goal to become the Hokage. The spin-off is centered around Naruto’s son, Boruto, and the new team of seven consisting of Sasuke’s daughter Sarada and Mitsuki, a mysterious child related to Orochimaru.
The series was published monthly by Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, which was its shonen manga magazine, in May of 2016 after which it was changed into a monthly release manga in July 2019 in the company’s monthly magazine, V Jump
Will Boruto Marry Sarada?
Sarada and Boruto along with Mitsuki make up the new team seven, however, as of now, there hasn’t been much progress in the romantic side of their relationship. That being said, a future development can’t be completely ruled out.
Boruto and Sarada at this point are yet to have feelings for each other and only care for each other as teammates. Their relationship is quite deep making their teammate Mitsuki often say they would make a great duo. Their relationship might follow the same trend as Boruto’s parents, Naruto and Hinata, where the former only developed feelings for the latter during his late teenage years.
Boruto and Sarada have been friends since childhood, owing to the fact that their parents were a part of team seven and were close friends and comrades who fought together. Both of them have care and respect for one another. However, they often get into arguments, sometimes dragging the whole class into it.
This can be taken as the classic troupe of a boy and girl who rarely ever see eyes to eye finding the best in each other and falling in love. Just as much as they bicker, they have inevitably begun to trust each other while also watching over each other’s back. As Shinobi, they have high regard towards one another which is evident during the training with Sasuke, Boruto’s Rasengan is ridiculed and Sarada tells her father to not say so and that Boruto is working hard as well and that he was giving his best to master it.
There is enormous trust and faith between Boruto and Sarada, to the extent that they do not judge each other’s decisions, this can be seen when Boruto trusts Sarada to make most of the strategy calls for the team.
They also have strange similarities with each other, such as their goals and relationship with their fathers. This makes it so that they further understand the situation of the other coming from the same one themselves, a troupe also every commonly found in other series to develop the relationship between the characters.
After the issue regarding the Exam, Boruto decides that he will support Sarada’s goal to become a Hokage like his father and tells her that like Sasuke, he will remain in the Shadows and help her causing Sarada to blush.

Sarada also tells Boruto in another episode that his eyes are much bluer than the Hokage’s and therefore more attractive. This proves that despite having boundaries as childhood friends the two are consciously aware of each other. On several occasions in the anime and manga, they end up blushing when the other says something or when someone else comments on their relationship.
However, as of now, they have a purely platonic relationship that has the right foundations to change into something more in the future, or just like Naruto and Sakura, they could remain friends who are close as family.
