The monthly Japanese manga by Tomo Takeuchi, writer, and illustrator of the anime, served as the inspiration for this Shounen rom-com anime. The manga was highly praised and loved by the younger male readers. The anime also received overwhelmingly favorable reviews from the audience due to its relatable and realistic approach. The primary characters and the plot of the show are established within a few episodes, which isn’t a long time. Production I.G., known for creating other well-known anime that feature competition and games like Haikyuu and Kuroko no Basket, adapted the show. When the competition heats up, the dancers’ talents with their body movements are really brought to the forefront. With the art style and character designs for this particular anime, the illustrator makes a lasting impression. However, the seamless camera angles and timing were what really captured the audience’s attention.
The story is about a boy named Tatara Fujita who wants to prove to the world that he can be good at something. Until the day he discovers the world of ballroom dancing. He has a meek nature and occasionally displays an excessive sense of self-importance. Despite still focusing primarily on Tatara and his journey, the narrative develops in many other ways as well. Two other dancing partners of Tatara’s who have different attitudes toward him are Mako Akagi and Chinatsu Hiyama, who are also featured in the story.
Welcome To Ballroom Season 2 Release Date

The first season of the series received an 8.19 rating from 132,398 different users on MyAnimeList, which is quite significant for the creators to take into account for the second season. There are still enough volumes and chapters in the original manga that can be adapted into the anime.
In total, there were 24 episodes in the first season of Welcome to the Ballroom, which premiered on July 9 of 2017 and ended on December 17 of the same year. Each episode lasted exactly 24 minutes. The viewers were uncertain whether or not there would be another season because it hadn’t recently aired. But we should be aware that if the series is not being renewed, it is also not being canceled. So we can safely say that the chances are extremely high that we will get another season in late 2022 or early 2023.
