Scum Wish otherwise known as Kuzu no Honkai, is an original Japanese manga and animated series. Mengo Yokoyari is the author of the Japanese manga series Scum’s Wish. It has been collected into eight volumes after running as a serial in Square Enix’s seinen manga magazine Big Gangan from September to March 2017. Between January and March 2017, live-action television series and an anime television series adaption by Lerche both aired on Fuji TV.
It has a total of 12 episodes in season one and has been rated as 7.2 out of 10 on MyAnimeList and 6.8 on IMDb. The show is based on the Drama and Romance genres.
Scum’s Wish Season 2 Release Date
Season one of Scum Wish began airing in January 2017 and concluded in March 2017. Since its debut, the anime has received a lot of mixed reviews despite being an adaptation of a highly well-liked manga. Season one’s finale, which coincides with the manga’s conclusion, is pretty conclusive. We, therefore, have no genuine reason to expect more from this story, and the production company has not made any formal announcements on its renewal.

Scum’s Wish Season 2 Story
Scum wish revolves around a group, Hanabi Yasuraoka, who is a high school student in Scum Wish, who has a crush on Narumi Kanai, an older childhood acquaintance who is now her homeroom teacher. Hanabi learns that Narumi is in love with Akane and not the new music teacher Akane Minagawa from the expression in his eyes when he sees her.
Hanabi meets Mugi Awaya, a fellow pupil who has fallen head over heels for Akane, the tutor he had in middle school. To alleviate each other’s loneliness stemming from their separate unfulfilled loves, Hanabi and Mugi agree to a fake relationship and start it both emotionally and sexually. If their love is reciprocated by the individuals they are in love with, they agree to stop loving each other and end the relationship.

Scum’s Wish Season 2 Characters
Hanabi Yasuraoka, whose Japanese voice is provided by Chika Anzai, is the show’s main character. She is a senior in high school and has feelings for Narumi. Hanabi starts a fictitious connection with Mugi after learning that Narumi loves Akane in order to relieve their shared loneliness. She later has a sexual relationship with her best friend Sanae, but it ends when Sanae decides she no longer wants to be with Hanabi. Hanabi then makes the decision to end her fictitious relationship with Mugi and embark on a new journey in search of her genuine love.
Mugi Awaya voice is given by Japanese VA Nobunaga Shimazaki. He is in love with Akane and is a high school student. He sets up a phoney connection with Hanabi to gratify their mutual needs. Since he was unable to reveal his love to Akane, Mugi had already been having a covert relationship with his senior, Mei Hayakawa, in middle school. Mei took his virginity. Mugi had always known the kind of person Akane was, but he still cared for her.
Narumi Kanai voice is given by Japanese VA Kenki Nojima. He is an elder neighbor and childhood friend of Hanabi who later served as her homeroom teacher in high school. When he was younger, his mother passed away, therefore he frequently ate at Hanabi’s house. He finds long-haired ladies attractive because they make him think of his mother. Narumi does not appear to care that Akane is who she really is and asks her to marry him; she agrees.
Akane Minagawa voice is given by Japanese VA Aki Toyosaki. She starts working at the school during Hanabi’s first year as a student. She appears to be a lovely, well-behaved woman who is beloved by her students, but in reality, she enjoys the thrill of earning a man’s affection at the expense of another woman who is in love with him. She can also be described as a nymphomaniac and someone who is lonely.
Other supporting characters include Atsuya Kirishima, Mei Hayakawa, and Takuya Terauchi.
