Queer As Folk Season 2 Release Date

The new US reboot version of the original UK series “Queer As Folk”  tells us the story of trans people living in New Orleans who have dealt with the aftermath of a tragic shooting at a nightclub. Unlike any of its predecessors, the action is shifted away from Pittsburgh, the setting for its parent series, and it excludes any characters from earlier series. The series stars Devin Way, Fin Argus, Jesse James Keitel, Johnny Sibilly, and Ryan O’Connell. It was directed and written by Stephen Dunn, with Russell T. Davies as its executive producer.

Simply put, it’s a show about a group of queer friends attempting to navigate love, life, tragedy, and joy in a very complex world all of whose eight episodes from the first season were released on Thursday, June 9, 2022.

Season 1 ended on a major cliffhanger with Brodie confessing his love to Ruthie, who is married to Shar and just gave birth to their twin girls. Many fans are speculating as to whether a Season 2 of Queer as Folk is already in the works after the series’ unexpectedly thrilling finale.

The show failed to draw in a sizable audience despite the story being very beautifully presented. This was due to viewers’ negative perceptions of it when compared to the original. However, those who persisted in watching it recognized its potential and chose it as their favorite coming-of-age transgender drama. As a result, there is a good chance that season 2 and even more will come after it.

The director, Stephen Dunn, in an interview, said, “We definitely have some big plans for Brodie and Ruthie’s storylines because there’s still a lot more, obviously, left to explore in the wake of that big twist and reveal.” This means that the new season 2 is likely not too far away.
