Because of its stunning visuals, endearing characters, terrifying elements, and captivating plot, the fall 2021 anime series Meiruko Chan was adored by viewers all over the world. The series was based on the Tomoki Izumi-penned and -illustrated Japanese manga of the same name. The manga is fairly well-liked among young readers, much like the anime. The anime was produced by Magic Capsule and Kadokawa and was adapted by studio Passione, known for its program “High School DxD Hero.”
Mieruko-chan does its best to highlight the personalities of the characters in its role as a horror comedy. It can also occasionally involve paranormal elements. Not to mention, the amount of fan service in the program is actually quite high. There are also sporadic serious moments that can make viewers feel scared or anxious, even though the show generally maintains a moderately comedic tone.
Mieruko Chan Season 2 Release Date

The show was one of the most watched programs on television at the time it first aired. Additionally, it was able to hold the top spot for a number of weeks on the various anime polling websites. It has received a score of 7.46 from a total of 163,158 users on MyAnimeList, which is extremely impressive.
Given that it has now been running for almost 4 years, the manga from which the anime is adapted still has a lot of content to offer after season 1. Popularity and plot should not be issues if studio Passione decides to continue the anime for the following season. However, we don’t expect to learn anything about Mieruko Chan until 2022 because the tiny studio doesn’t want to be overworked. In light of this, it is possible that the second season will be revealed at the beginning of 2023, with the premiere hopefully starting in the second half of 2023.

Mieruko Chan Season 1 Recap
As implied by the title, the anime, Mieruko Chan tells the story of Miko Yotsuya, a young woman who has the ability to see ghosts among other supernatural beings. Miko has to deal with the fact that there are supernatural monsters in the world of the living whether she is at school, in the park, or even in her bedroom. To pretend they don’t surround her is her own solution, but that’s easier said than done. She makes an effort to live a normal life, but as time passes, things continue to get worse. When supernatural creatures begin to interact with the people around her, including her friend Hana, things start to go south. While Hana is completely unaware of ghosts, Mieruko makes it her life’s work to protect her from them. Later, we meet new characters like Julia, a young woman with the ability to perceive ghostly auras. Unlike others, she is not good at expressing herself.
The anime demonstrates how Mieruko can use her power to protect someone important when the situation calls for it. There are also sporadic serious moments that can make viewers feel scared or anxious, even though the show generally maintains a moderately comedic tone.
