Komi Can’t Communicate Episode 12 Recap

Komi, Tadano, and their friend Najimi work in a cafe and Komi comes up with the idea of walking a hundred meters from the classroom to gather more and more customers to their cafe. This does work well as many people start following the three mainly because of Komi’s beauty. Najimi becomes a tad bit too excited and ends up going overboard by offering playing games, clicking pictures for the customers until the teachers order her to stop such activities with the school students. Komi, Tadano, and Najimi spend their time together looking at all the activities and stalls set up by their classmates and other students.
They also visit a haunted house which happens to only scare Komi a lot. Another activity includes students shouting random confessions along with one of the classmates Yamai shouting a confession for Komi asking her to marry him which greatly causes nervousness in her. Najimi once again acts without thinking and forces Komi to make a confession as well. Komi ends up shouting the word Meow as she fails to think of anything else. This makes everyone believe that she will dress up as a cat maid at their cafe and everyone becomes eager to visit her.
Komi Can’t Communicate Review

Komi Can’t Communicate has received massive support from the fans of anime because of its unique depiction of social issues which is something to be talked about more often. Usually, the characters who are exceptionally beautiful and loved by everyone are confident and perfect in all ways or if the character is clumsy or socially awkward they are most likely to be ugly and unattractive but that is where Komi Can’t Communicate brings in something unique. It talks about a major mental health problem like Social Anxiety Disorder and shows that even the most beautiful or perfect human to other people can suffer from such mental disorders and be way more imperfect just like any of us are.
Komi is a character who is at a loss for words most of the time. She fails to come up with correct responses or her brain does not know how to respond to certain social situations. That is exactly what a lot of people from our generation suffer from and that is why so many people praise Komi Can’t Communicate for its relatability and depiction of real-life problems, unlike other anime that talk about superpowers, fantasy world, and fiction.
