The History Of Nena
Nena is first portrayed as Hol Horse’s lover and ally, an enemy of the heroes, although she is not actually revealed to be an enemy. She expresses a desire in getting married to him, but he declines, saying that even though they were in love, he had to leave her because he was a wanderer doomed to die on the streets. Later, he admits to J. Geil that he is only with her because she might one day be helpful, giving up her life for him.
She eventually aids Hol Horse in his escape from Jotaro’s crew after he is defeated by pinning down Jean Pierre Polnareff. She subsequently rides with the party on a bus to Varanashi, where she meets Polnareff and sparks an attraction between them. As she gets killed in front of him and Polnareff realizes she is an enemy, he appears shocked (and a very ugly enemy at that).
