One Piece is a Japanese manga series. It is written by Eiichiro Oda with illustrations also being done by him. The series was serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump in July 1997. As of April 2022, it has over 102 tankobon volumes.
Is One Piece Worth Watching?

One Piece has been around since 1997 and caters well to its large fan base with new content in every arc. The series despite having run for so long as managed to deliver exciting content and new, diverse characters that make the story all the more entertaining. It’s only because of the creator Eiichiro Oda and fans of One Piece, has the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Crew continued for almost 20 years.
The world where Luffy and his crew journey cross is one that is vast with its own unique localities with their own cultures and stories. The readers or Viewers are given the chance to see the intricate world-building done by Oda. One Piece isn’t just some long dragged-out Shonen series but that doesn’t mean this fact can be excluded. For older fans who have followed the series since the beginning this isn’t an issue but for new fans watching or reading the series might be a hassle. The anime has over 1000 episodes that’s around 600-800 hours of anime that means even if one were to watch 10 episodes a day it would take them around four months or so to catch up to the latest episode. The manga is also in the same situation with over 1040 chapters amounting to around 98 volumes. That is a lot of commitment a person has to put into a series that is still ongoing.

It is not a matter of weeks but months of dedication to the series if one takes into consideration the movies as well. No matter how fast you read or how long you spend binging. A minimum of a month is needed to get to the latest content. However, this also means that people who are just looking for a fairly fast-paced yet fun story can enjoy watching or reading One Piece without the constant need to rush to find the ending. The story is a perfect example of growth through experience and fans can dive deeper and understand a character while also connecting with them.
One Piece needs to be savored slowly and rushing through it will only be a miss on your part. It is worth reading or watching but there’s no need to go out of one’s way to do it as the end is nowhere near. Take your time a enjoy.

Monkey D. Luffy
Monkey D. Luffy who is either collect straw hate Luffy or just straw hat is the main protagonist of the manga and anime series One Piece. Luffy’s lifelong dream is to become the pirate king after finding the treasure left by Gol D. Roger. The reason for this is that he believes that beginning the pirate king would mean having all the freedom in the world. Luffy is the founder and Captain of the Straw Hat Crew and is considered one of the strongest people in the world.
Tony Tony Chopper
Tony Tony Chopper who is also called Cotton Candy Lover Chopper is the doctor of the Straw Hat Crew. He was joined at the end of the Drum Island Arc being the fifth to join and became the sixth member of the crew. During the Long Ring Long Land Arc, he was forced to join the Foxy Pirates but returned back to the Straw Hat Crew.
Iron Man Franky
Iron Man Franky is the Straw Hat Crews shipwright. He joined the crew during the Post-Enies Lobby Arc being the seventh member to join and becoming the eighth member.
