Boruto: Naruto Next Generations commonly known as Boruto is a popular manga and anime series that originates from Japan. Ukyō Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto have written the series. Mikio Ikemoto has illustrated the series. In May 2016 the series began its monthly serialization with Kodachi as the writer and Kishimoto as the editorial supervisor in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine called Weekly Shōnen Jump. It was transferred to Shueisha’s monthly magazine called V Jump in July 2019.
It is a spin-off and a sequel to Masashi Kishimotos series Naruto and follows the story of Naruto Uzumaki’s son, Boruto Uzumaki, and his team of ninjas. Kishimoto rejected Shueisha’s proposal on making a sequel to Naruto at first and proposed his former assistant Mikio Ikemoto to draw illustrations for the series. Ukyō Kodachi who is the writer of the film Boruto: Naruto the Movie created the plot for the series. The anime television adaptation of the series first aired on TV Tokyo on 5 April 2017. The anime begins as a prequel set before Boruto and his friends become ninjas in a later story arc, unlike the manga which began as a retelling of the Boruto film.
Boruto Episode 239 Release Date
Episode 239 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations commonly known as Boruto is set to be released on 6 March 2022. To date, 237 episodes of the series have been released with the latest being released on 20 February 2022. It was named “The Mobile Fortress”. Episode 238 named “A Killer on the Ship” is set to be released on 27 February 2022. This episode would be followed Episode 239 named “The Boy From The Shipbuilding Island” on 6 March 2022. Each episode of the series is released every Sunday of the week. Episode 239 has been directed by Shigetaka Ikeda and written by Masahiro Ōkubo. The series does not feature an official season sub-listing title on Japanese DVD releases. This originally was the case with both the Naruto anime series.
The series can be streamed online on platforms such as Hulu, Disney +, and ESPN + in English dub.

Boruto Episode 239 Story
The series follows the story of Naruto Uzumaki’s son, Boruto Uzumaki, and his team of ninjas. The series opens with a teenager named Boruto Uzumaki facing a foe named Kawaki during the destruction of his village. Boruto who is the son of the Seventh Hokage Naruto Uzumaki feels angry over his father placing the village before his family. Boruto becomes a member of a ninja team led by Naruto’s protégé Konohamaru Sarutobi at that time alongside Sarada Uchiha who is the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura Uchiha, and Mitsuki who is the artificial son of Orochimaru. Boruto then asks Sasuke to train him for the upcoming Chunin exam in order to impress his father.
Momoshiki and Kinshiki Ōtsutsuki abduct Naruto so they can use Kurama during the exam who is a tailed beast sealed inside his body in order to regenerate the dying Divine Tree from the dimension from which they came from. The leaders of other ninja villages, Boruto, Sasuke, and the four Kages set out to rescue Naruto. At the end of the battle, Momoshiki sacrifices Kinshiki in order to increase his own strength but is defeated by Boruto and Naruto with Sasuke’s help. But Momoshiki survives long enough to realize Boruto’s full potential and also warns him of future dangers.
Boruto Episode 239 Characters
Boruto Uzumaki
He is the protagonist of the series. He is the first child and only son to Naruto and Hinata. He has a more refined and mannered approach to things as he had a better upbringing than his father. He is fiercely loyal and very much passionate about his dreams.
Sarada Uchicha
She is the only daughter of Sakura and Sasuke and was born when the two were on an adventure away from Konoha. Although she tends to act more like her mother, she boasts personality traits from both her parents. She will erupt in flames when she is angered but is also very intelligent, witty, sociable, and caring.
Mitsuki
He is the clone of Orchimaru who traveled to Konoha in order to find Boruto. He unleashes his merciless violence when in a battle that threatens his friends and family but is very calm and collected otherwise.

The official trailer for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations was released back on 11 April 2019 on YouTube which revealed crucial details about the storyline and characters of the series.
